The Ultimate Maintenance Kit leaves no hair unlocked! It has everything needed to care take a gorgeous head of clean, healthy and neat dreadlocks.
1. Shampoo: Our Classic shampoo is plant derived and deeply cleansing without leaving behind residues creating an environment in which dreadlocks thrive. Shampooing about once a week is about right for most people but let your scalp and hair type guide you - if you suffer from dandruff or have an oily scalp, consider more frequent shampooing.
2. Accelerator: Our salt based Accelerator is balanced with the hair strengthening benefits of Aloe Vera and Pro Vitamin B. It will texturise your hair to encourage the locking and tightening process. If your dreadlocks are new or are loose and fluffy, then Accelerator can be applied up to a few times a week. For mature, tight locs, apply as needed.
3. Dread Dust & 0.6mm Crochet Hook: Dread Dust is one of our faves! The fine white powder will help knots form quick smart without leaving behind residue. With a little dust on your finger tips, rub loose hairs between your finger tip before pulling them into the dreadlock using the crochet hook. It can also be used to tidy new growth by having a little on your finger tips when performing clockwise root rubbing.
4. And here`s where you have a choice! Tightening Gel, Dread Balm or Dread Wax.
Tightening Gel: This is an Aloe Vera based light, wash out formula, it`s suitable for all hair types and is the most popular choice in this kit. It instantly tames loose hair and encourages locking and tightening. It`s smells delish and is a great way to freshen up a head of dreads.
Dread Balm: Balm binds, neatens and deeply conditions. For this reason it is recommended for use in mature dreadlocks only. Macadamia and Sweet Orange oil makes for a deliciously creamy texture which goes on super smooth.
Dread Wax: Was has super binding and hold ability. It tames loose frizzy hair and tightens dreadlocks in the process. It is packed with Hemp Seed Oil, Bees Wax and essential fatty acids and vitamins and is best suited for afro hair or thick, curly and coarse hair types. It is designed to stay put so for this reason we caution that it should only be used sparingly and only as needed.

Use only as directed and discontinue use if irritation occurs. Use products within 12 months of opening.

The shopping cart will automatically work out your shipping costs based on the weight of your order and advise you before payment is required.
New Zealand orders on average take 7-12 working days.
For all other countries, please allow approximately 10-15 working days.
Customs processing and clearance in your country may impact this timeframe by a few days.
Returns Policy - (Damaged Items / Change of Mind)
We accept returns when they are arranged within 30 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be in their original condition, unused, and unaltered
- Returns must be approved before being sent back
How to Arrange a Return
Please email contact@dreadlocks.com.au within 30 days of receiving your order to arrange your return. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted. Once your return is accepted, please ensure it it is sent back within 7 days of acceptance.
Return Shipping
Return shipping costs for 'Change of Mind' are the responsibility of the customer
If the return is due to an error on our part (e.g. faulty or incorrect item), we will cover the return shipping costs
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 5 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Redelivery - (Incorrect Address / Non-Collection / Lost)
In the event we have been given an incorrect mailing address or the package is not collected, we are happy to resend your order to another address if/when it is returned to us. A redelivery fee will apply which will be the actual shipping cost, no admin restocking fees will be charged.
Lost in Transit
Occasionally, delays may occur. If your parcel has not arrived 10 business days after the estimated delivery date, we can escalate the matter with Australia Post for investigation. Depending on the outcome, we will either resend your order or issue a refund.
