Full Description
INCLUSIONS: 10 individual synthetic dreadlock extensions. Approximately 55cm/21.5inches long and 8mm wide.
THE LOOK: Our entry level Semi Crocheted dreadlock extensions are made by crocheting the outer layer of hair and wrapping it around a bundle of undreaded hair. Whilst the twist is somewhat evident, the textured outer layer provides an authentic look. If you are after our premium option which do look just like real dreads and are softer and more flexible, check our premium Crocheted Synthetic range here.
COLOUR: The colours available appear in the drop down box. If you want a variety of colours, please select Blend and leave a comment with the colours you want and how many of each.
WEAR & CARE: Our dreadlock extensions will last indefinitely and if braided in, can be worn for many weeks and even months at a time, depending on how quickly your hair grows. They can get wet, washed and shampooed as per your normal hair. Occasional maintenance may be required to tidy them up by either crocheting in any loose hairs or re heat sealing.
HOW MANY DO I NEED FOR A FULL HEAD? On average, most people have about 50 dreads for a full head and more if you want extra volume.

It's discreet, very strong and long lasting and will allow you to capture the loose hairs from the braid making for a neater finish.
INSTALLATION: Pull a section of your own hair through the loop at the top and then split the bundle of your own hair in two. Using the extension itself as the third piece braid the extension in place using either a regular three strand braid or blanket stitch braid.
Our Nylon Dreadlock Extensions Thread is a great way to secure your dreadlock extension because it is discreet, very strong and long lasting and allows you to bind the ends of your own hair to the dread so it offers a neater finish. As you near the end of the braid, wrap the thread around the end of the braid capturing the ends of your hair and tie off in a knot. Pro Elastics are another option to secure the braids in place.
INSTALLATION ~ CLIPS: Attaching the extension to our extension clips will allow for quick and easy temporary install and removal of the dreadlocks.
EXTENDING EXISTING DREADLOCKS: These extensions can be permanently crocheted to the bottom of existing dreadlocks to add length. Please note though that the twist is still somewhat evident and they may require occasional maintenance. Whilst our Human Hair and 100% Crocheted Synthetics are the premium choice when it comes to extending existing dreadlocks, if you don't mind the twist and a little more maintenance then these are still a good option. They can also be temporarily looped around the base of existing dreads to add volume and colour highlights.

All orders are dispatched within 24hrs of receiving payment, Monday through Friday via Australia Post.
Within Australia
Regular Post ($6.95 flat rate for any size order).
Express Post ($10.95 flat rate for any size order).
International
The shopping cart will automatically work out your shipping costs based on the weight of your order and advise you before payment is required.
New Zealand orders on average take 7-12 working days.
For all other countries, please allow approximately 10-15 working days.
Customs processing and clearance in your country may impact this timeframe by a few days.
Returns Policy - (Damaged Items / Change of Mind)
We accept returns when they are arranged within 30 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be in their original condition, unused, and unaltered
- Returns must be approved before being sent back
How to Arrange a Return
Please email contact@dreadlocks.com.au within 30 days of receiving your order to arrange your return. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted. Once your return is accepted, please ensure it it is sent back within 7 days of acceptance.
Return Shipping
Return shipping costs for 'Change of Mind' are the responsibility of the customer
If the return is due to an error on our part (e.g. faulty or incorrect item), we will cover the return shipping costs
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 5 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Redelivery - (Incorrect Address / Non-Collection / Lost)
In the event we have been given an incorrect mailing address or the package is not collected, we are happy to resend your order to another address if/when it is returned to us. A redelivery fee will apply which will be the actual shipping cost, no admin restocking fees will be charged.
Lost in Transit
Occasionally, delays may occur. If your parcel has not arrived 10 business days after the estimated delivery date, we can escalate the matter with Australia Post for investigation. Depending on the outcome, we will either resend your order or issue a refund.
