Dread Empire's Dread Wax will bind, tighten and accelerate the locking process of new dreadlocks. With a bees wax base the texture is a little creamier and more workable than the other dread waxes on the market. This makes for quicker application whilst still giving you the hold it needs to keep unruly dreads under control.
It also combines a powerful blend of natural ingredients, including Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Avocado Oil and Vitamin E. All of which are well renowned for their ability to improve the condition and strength of hair and this means stronger, healthier dreadlocks.
Because of its heavy duty binding ability, it is best suited to afro hair or those with coarse and very dry hair types. It is a product designed to stay put in your dreadlocks so we caution that it is important to use very sparingly and only as needed. If you prefer a lighter, wash out formula to tame your dreads and loose hair, then the Dread Empire Tightening Gel is a great alternative.
Instructions for use: Use a knife to remove a small amount of wax (about half the size of an M&M) then warm it up between your palms. Now apply it to each dread by palm rolling it in. Palm rolling involves placing the dread between your palms and firmly rubbing your palms back and forth together whilst apply downward pressure. Start at the roots then work your way down to the bottom. Wax should only be used occassionaly or as needed. Your hair type will dictacte how often you wax - for some it may be once every few weeks whilst for others it may be every few months.

Use only as directed and discontinue use if irritation occurs. Dispose of product 12 months after opening.

The shopping cart will automatically work out your shipping costs based on the weight of your order and advise you before payment is required.
New Zealand orders on average take 7-12 working days.
For all other countries, please allow approximately 10-15 working days.
Customs processing and clearance in your country may impact this timeframe by a few days.
Returns Policy - (Damaged Items / Change of Mind)
We accept returns when they are arranged within 30 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be in their original condition, unused, and unaltered
- Returns must be approved before being sent back
How to Arrange a Return
Please email contact@dreadlocks.com.au within 30 days of receiving your order to arrange your return. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted. Once your return is accepted, please ensure it it is sent back within 7 days of acceptance.
Return Shipping
Return shipping costs for 'Change of Mind' are the responsibility of the customer
If the return is due to an error on our part (e.g. faulty or incorrect item), we will cover the return shipping costs
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 5 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Redelivery - (Incorrect Address / Non-Collection / Lost)
In the event we have been given an incorrect mailing address or the package is not collected, we are happy to resend your order to another address if/when it is returned to us. A redelivery fee will apply which will be the actual shipping cost, no admin restocking fees will be charged.
Lost in Transit
Occasionally, delays may occur. If your parcel has not arrived 10 business days after the estimated delivery date, we can escalate the matter with Australia Post for investigation. Depending on the outcome, we will either resend your order or issue a refund.
