There is a great place in WA that does dreadlocks called Wildilocks, 808 Hay Street, Perth (08)9226 3722.
The same people have also just opened a store in Melb called The LockWorks, Level 1, 382 Little Collins St [entrance on McKillop St, opposite Octane] (03)9642 3384
Go to http://wildilocks.com/

Hi There,
Two Questions:
Some people on here have asked for the whereabouts of a hairdresser to 'help' with maintenance of their dreads. What would the hairdresser be doing?
Will dying your hair a couple of times a year eventually threaten the life of my dreads??

Hi Jo,
Hairdresser mainteance is usually to tidy up any loose or misformed dreads. Not everyone will need it but it's good to go for a tidy up once in a while. If your dreads were created using the perming technique you will need to go to a salon on a regular basis for re-work as it's only a temporary solution.
Dying your dreads is fine. If your hair is extremely damaged or dry it can cause dread breakage but a little dread wax or dread conditioner will give it some Vitamin E nourishment if needed.
